U14s District Netball Tournament

Malvern College v The Chase School
Results: 8-0 (Win)
Player of the match: Lily Brown

Our team was feeling nervous and quite understandably, as this was their first competitive match together since starting at Malvern. The girls started strongly, working well as a team to move ball down court, towards goal. Lily Brown was excellent in the shooting circle and matched by the strong defensive pairing of; Muringo Kibuchi (GK) and Amelia Scott (GD).

Malvern College v Pershore High School
Result: 13-4 (Win)
Player of the match: Mary Needham
Following their first match confidence was high and Malvern continued to play with passion, speed and determination. Malvern’s centre court pairing; Mary Needham and Lily Hutton worked very well together, forcing the opposition to make mistakes that enabled us to take advantage and go to goal.

Malvern College v Hanley Castle School
Result: 11-1 (Win)
Player of the match: Amelia Scott

Amelia Scott (GD) made a fine start for Malvern continuously turning ball over, keeping Hanley Castle away from the circle. Throughout the game Malvern showcased strong transitions through court and great link-up play, which was consistently finished off by Gia Neath. An excellent team performance.

Malvern College v Malvern St James
Result: 7-2 (Win)
Player of the match: Lucy Underwood

Malvern was full of determination going into the final match against their closest rivals. The first half was a tight affair with both teams frequently turning over the ball. Some great circle movement and some fantastic feeds by Lucy underwood at WA, allowed us to capitalise on our shooting opportunities.

A big well done to the whole team who evenly shared court time and contributed to these excellent results.
