At Malvern we encourage and celebrate creativity. Cultural awareness in the Creative Arts is an important feature at Malvern and is supported in the academic curriculum and beyond, by provision of a wide variety of activities that identify, engage, and nurture talent.
Walking around the school one is struck by the vibrancy and energy of the school, and the variety of opportunities that are provided to enable pupils to channel and express their creative ability. Generations of Malvernians have produced, participated in, and been entertained by, superb artwork, excellent musical performances, impressive design and theatrical productions of the highest quality.
Each subject that makes up the Creative Arts at Malvern: Arts, Music, Drama and Design and Technology, has its own identity. In the Lindsay Arts Centre Art flourishes, the iconic Music School and adjoining St Edmunds Hall has individual rehearsal rooms that were once rooms of contemplation in the building’s previous incarnation as a Monastery. The Rogers Theatre has enormous atmosphere and offers all round opportunities for involvement in the drama and the theatre, and the Chapman Technology Centre provides the most modern facilities for the production of design pieces. Aspirations are heightened as new opportunities present themselves in a process in which each pupil studying within the Creative Arts strives to become the very best they can be. Old Malvernians have gone on to establish high profiles within the field of Creative Arts, voicing the importance of their time at Malvern in the shaping of their careers. Malvern is proud to have provided them with the best possible launch pad to a successful future.
